Job summary

Element is a specialized automotive engine testing laboratory designed to support high-performance IC engine development, validation, and production audit programs. This position helps with engine test cell retooling and facility setup, including plumbing, welding, machining, instrumentation and electrical tasks.

Travel is required to help set up facilities across North America, including an initial two-month training period at Beamsville, ON, followed by additional travel to Dayton, OH and

Qualifications

Associate's degree in automotive technology and/or mechanical technology.
Hands-on experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
Good mechanical aptitude and accuracy.

Responsibilities

Plumbing for coolant, fuel and water systems required for engine operation.
Welding of exhaust system and fixtures.
Repair engine test cell equipment.
Document equipment issues/repairs to assist future troubleshooting.
Perform preventative maintenance and inspection test hardware.
Assist in plant housekeeping refuse removal and floor cleaning.
Maintain a clean & organized work area at all times.
Report all maintenance issues to Shift Supervisor.
All work is done according to Element procedures, PPE, and H&S rules.
