Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a unit of RTX, seeks an Engine Technician at Edwards AFB to service and support F135/F119 related engines. You will follow written work instructions, inspect and repair engines, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards in a high‑tempo, onsite environment. Shift options include 1st and 2nd shifts with potential overtime.

Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED, be able to obtain a DoD security clearance, and be willing to work weekends as needed. U.S.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years related military aircraft engine maintenance experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift and weekends as needed.
• U.S. citizenship required for access to program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, repair, test and assemble Pratt & Whitney engines per written instructions and blueprints.
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Maintain safe work area and comply with all safety rules and company policies.
• Read and interpret technical orders, manuals and drawings to determine tools and parts needed.
• Train for and maintain required licenses and certifications as applicable.
