Holt CAT is the largest Caterpillar dealership of heavy equipment in the United States. We have a full-time, 2nd shift Engine Technician - Shop position available at our Longview, Texas location. The hours are Monday-Friday from 4:00 pm to 12:30 am.

Job Description

This position is responsible for providing high-quality teardown, inspection, and repairs of diesel and natural gas engines in a shop environment, responding to customer needs positively and timely, and ensuring maximum value for work performed.

Qualifications

• Perform complex repairs such as teardown, inspection, repairs, and test running in a shop environment.
• Minimum of 2 years of diesel engine rebuilding experience.
• Ability to read schematics and understand manufacturer specifications.
• Computer literate; daily computer use required.
• Experience with CAT ET and CAT SiS or related diagnostic software preferred.
• Ability to write detailed service reports about work performed.
• Work efficiently with high energy levels and limited supervision.
• Teamwork skills.
• Own tools required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Diesel Technical schooling or Off-Highway Equipment schooling preferred.
• Steady employment history.
• Physical ability to frequently reach, bend, walk, lift 60 lbs., and stand for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and results-oriented mindset.
• Excellent attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed.
