Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3+ years of industry experience in engine performance, OR 1+ year of industry experience combined with a relevant advanced degree.
• Experience using GT-Power and/or GT-Suite.
• Strong proficiency with MATLAB and standard engineering analysis software.
• Experience with thermo-fluids.
• Understanding of engine performance modeling, simulation, testing, or calibration.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Support model-based product development activities for engine engineering programs.
• Assist in deploying analysis methods and establishing advanced model architecture and workflow processes.
• Conduct complex engine performance simulations, analysis, and optimization.
• Partner with performance engineers responsible for testing to pilot and implement advanced engineering processes.
• Assist in developing advanced model capabilities, methodologies, processes, and tools.
• Develop and improve model calibration procedures and analysis methodologies.
• Analyze engineering data and provide recommendations to support design and development decisions.
• Participate in engineering design reviews and contribute to technical solutions.
• Support testing and feasibility analysis of proposed engineering solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, systems, and procedures.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support project objectives.
