Job summary

Swanson Industries in Morgantown, WV is seeking a skilled machinist to operate engine lathes and conventional mills. You will read blueprints and shop drawings, use micrometers and calipers, and machine within specified tolerances.

Experience with hydraulic components and various thread forms is preferred. The role requires 3 years machining background, ability to work with minimal supervision, and strong teamwork and communication with internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Reads blueprints and shop drawings to tighten tolerances.
• Uses micrometers, calipers, thread mics and wires accurately.
• Demonstrates proficiency in applicable machining skills.
• Works well in a team and communicates effectively with customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate engine lathes, conventional mills and machine shop equipment.
• Use measuring tools proficiently (Mics ID/OD, calipers).
• Understand hydraulic terminology and apply it in machining tasks.
• Read prints, sketches, and machine to spec.
