Taylor Power Systems Inc in Richland, Mississippi is seeking an Engine-Generator Assembler to build and service diesel generator sets. You will layout, drill, tap and assemble panels and enclosures, mount components to equipment and follow blueprints to ensure correct wiring and connections.

The role requires reading instructions, using small hand tools, and occasional forklift operation. You will work with a team, troubleshoot issues, and lift up to 50 pounds while maintaining safety and

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Experience in power generation is a plus.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and interpret instructions.
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; occasional climbing.

Responsibilities

Lay out, drill, tap, and assemble electrical sub-panels and enclosures.
Mount and interconnect components to equipment per blueprints.
Provide in-house and field electrical service support as needed.
Assemble diesel generators and gas engine-generator sets using machinist's tools.
File and scrape burrs; clean parts with solvent and compressed air.
Position rotors and armatures; adjust airgap with precision instruments.
Secure assemblies with bolts and wrenches.
Align heads; insert shims to maintain clearance.
Grease bearings; assemble external parts and piping for specials.
Level and align units on bedplates; test with drive motor or instruments.
Dismantle equipment after testing and inspect wear.
