Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking an Engine Field Service Technician to support field-based engine diagnostics, repair and maintenance within the Distribution Business Unit. The role is based in Maestra, Sweden, with work from customer sites during standard hours.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot engine systems, and prepare parts and tools for service activities while ensuring safety and environmental standards are met. Fluency in English and Swedish is required.

Qualifications

• Required: Technician qualification or vocational diploma in a relevant technical discipline.
• Completion of technical training (e.g., Engine Technician, Automotive Technician) preferred.
• Initial hands-on field service experience and solid engine systems knowledge.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for service assignments.
• Strong customer focus with a service-oriented working style.
• Fluent English and Swedish.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and basic repair activities on Cummins engines at customer sites.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical issues using approved service procedures and diagnostic tools.
• Prepare parts, tools, and equipment to complete service activities efficiently and safely.
• Validate repairs by confirming successful resolution of customer concerns.
• Escalate unresolved or complex technical issues to senior Field Service Technicians or Supervisors.
• Follow Health, Safety and Environmental standards and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
