Job summary

Foley Equipment in Kansas/NW Missouri is seeking an Engine Field Technician to troubleshoot, service, repair, and rebuild diesel and gas engines in the field for top-notch customer experience.

The role requires performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and DOT inspections, with occasional after-hours and travel to other locations. Competitive hourly pay and strong benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a field environment on compression engines.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to read and understand specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins, schematics and diagrams.
• Ability to drive and obtain CDL if needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of repair and preventive maintenance on engines; diagnose issues and recommend repairs.
• Be available for overtime and after-hours calls as workloads fluctuate.
• Perform required DOT inspections to ensure truck is safe.
• Create a customer-focused work environment and communicate findings clearly.
• Travel to training sites and customer locations as needed.

Our Engine Field Technician is primarily responsible for troubleshooting, servicing, repairing and rebuilding diesel and compression gas engines in the field to provide an excellent customer experience.

Min: $26.28 to $58.30 / Hourly

What You Will Do in This Role:

• Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance on engines as well as diagnose and troubleshoot problems, give recommendations for repairs and make all critical repairs and adjustment
• Must be willing to work overtime as required by fluctuating workloads and available for after-hours calls as needed
• Perform required DOT inspections to ensure service truck is in proper, safe working order
• Create a work environment that is considerate of the customer's needs
• Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations and customers

Physical & Working Requirements

• This role involves hands-on mechanical work in a shop environment. The employee must be able to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation. These functions may include:
• Safely and repeatedly lifting components weighing up to 115 pounds without assistance
• Safely lifting, carrying, and lowering components weighing up to 65 pounds without assistance
• Frequent pushing, pulling, and carrying of heavy materials
• Climbing on and off equipment and working at varying heights
• Standing, bending, and working in physically demanding positions for extended periods
• Safely operating tools and equipment

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Expreince working in a field enviroment on compression engines
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be able to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins, schematics, line diagrams and other related publications.
• Ability to drive and valid license required with ability to obtain CDL
