Job summary

Airgas, Baton Rouge, is seeking a Generator Technician to repair, refurbish and maintain engine driven generators and related welding equipment for rental.

Under supervision of the Branch Manager, you will diagnose problems, replace parts, perform preventive maintenance and ensure safety compliance on site and off-site. A high school diploma and valid driver's license are required; prior generator or diesel engine experience is preferred. Benefits include medical, 401(k) and more.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Valid Driver License with good driving record.
• Preferred: generator repair experience, diesel engine knowledge, PLC engine controllers experience.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, and refurbish engine driven generators and welding equipment.
• Assemble diesel generator equipment for rental and test for functionality.
• Perform preventive maintenance and replace defective parts as required.
• Operate forklift or pallet jack and maintain clean, safe work environment.
• Document repairs and coordinate parts with Branch Coordinator.
