Job summary

Cintal, Inc. in Chillicothe, IL seeks a controls engineer to calibrate and validate engine control systems, analyze performance data, and develop control strategies using MATLAB/Simulink on both simulation and on-engine environments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, support testing and continuous improvement, and contribute to robust control solutions. A bachelor's degree and 2+ years' experience are required; visa sponsorship is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in controls engineering or a related field.
• Experience with control systems design and analysis using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Knowledge of feedback control of dynamic systems and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and validate engine control systems in simulation and on-engine environments.
• Analyze engine performance data and present findings.
• Design and develop control systems using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Troubleshoot control system issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with technical leads and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Support testing, validation, and continuous improvement of engine control strategies.
