Job summary

Daimler Truck North America in Byesville, OH is hiring for an on-site role to visually inspect engine blocks and verify repairs through the remanufacturing process. Responsibilities include removing caps, tapping head bolt holes, washing, inspecting with camera, and documenting work.

The position offers starting pay at $20.70/hr rising to $29.21/hr with quarterly gainsharing and shift differentials. Comprehensive benefits are provided, including 401k, vacation, holidays, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

Must be capable of repetitive hand manipulation and use of power & hand tools.
Able to stand on concrete for entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Must maintain a clean work area and meet quality standards.
Cross train on other jobs as required.
Previous manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform physically demanding manufacturing duties including repetitive processes, lifting and use of machinery.
Clean and inspect engine blocks.
Operate hoist, air tools, hand tools, torque wrenches, gauges, wash tank, and inspection camera.
Identify component parts by learning identification numbers and follow work instructions.
Adhere to the established work rotation plan and complete training matrix.
Use computer systems to access data and read drawings and BOMs.
