Job summary

The Player Progression Academy in NW DC/Montgomery County is seeking a reliable, energetic contractor to lead youth sports programming for ages 2.5-10 and manage weekend equipment coordination. This boots-on-the-ground role blends on-field coaching with inventory, setup, and logistics to keep programs running smoothly.

You’ll coach Afterschool soccer/basketball/volleyball, support Tots activities, and ensure safe, welcoming sessions.

Qualifications

• Experience with children in a sports, childcare, recreation, or educational setting.
• Strong organizational skills and logistics focus.
• Reliable, punctual, and communicative.

Responsibilities

• Coach Afterschool soccer and/or basketball and/or volleyball clinics (minimum 4 hrs/week, Mon–Fri, 3–5pm).
• Coach Tots (ages 2.5-5) soccer and/or basketball (minimum 6 hrs/weekend, 9am-1pm) with PPA curriculum.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and energetic environment for young children and their families.
• Adapt activities in real time based on group size, age, energy level.
• Serve as a positive face of the PPA brand at sessions.
