Job summary

Global Educational Excellence (GEE) is seeking a Substitute Teacher to provide temporary instructional coverage in the absence of regular classroom teachers, ensuring continuity of curriculum delivery and a safe, structured learning environment at our Southeast Michigan campuses.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, or completion of at least 60 college credits, and compliance with Michigan Department of Education substitute requirements, plus a satisfactory criminal background

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Michigan Department of Education (MDE) requirements for substitute teachers: valid Michigan teaching certificate, OR completion of at least 60 credit hours from a regionally accredited college or university.
Satisfactory criminal background check is required.

Responsibilities

Execute lesson plans left by the regular classroom teacher; maintain continuity of instruction.
Maintain classroom management and foster a positive, productive learning environment.
Take attendance and communicate with the main office as required.
Implement school policies and procedures; ensure student safety at all times.
Leave a brief summary for the regular teacher regarding classroom activities and any concerns.
