Job summary

Sheltering Arms in Marietta, GA seeks a Substitute Teacher to assist regular staff in caring for and educating groups of children. This role is not benefits eligible and is performed in a hands-on, classroom setting with emphasis on safety and daily routines.

The Substitute Teacher will support activities, help with feeding and hygiene, and work closely with staff to maintain a positive, inclusive environment for all children.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an orderly learning environment.
• Promote healthy eating by eating with children.
• Share routine duties with staff and supervise on playground.
• Keep classroom and areas neat and clean.
• Interact with children during activities you supervise.
• Perform hand washing and sanitizing procedures.
• Greet children on arrival and departure and provide positive guidance.
• Support families with warm, professional communication during visits.
