• Create lesson plans and teach subjects; help students learn how to study and communicate.
• Observe students to evaluate abilities and address strengths and weaknesses.
• Teach and mentor students individually or in groups.
• Communicate progress with families, counselors, administrators and other teachers.
• Document goals and progress as required by the facility and state.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and enforce classroom rules.
• Adhere to treatment plans and participate in team meetings as requested.
