Qualifications

• Possesses an earned master’s or higher degree, in sociology, social work, or social psychology.
• Possesses an earned master’s or higher degree in any field with 18 hours in sociology and/or 18 graduate sociology courses, including statistics/research methodology.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with college policy and course objectives.
• Make optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.
• Supplement and alter lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials; maintain accurate student records and grades.
• Engage with students proactively and regularly to ensure a positive Ivy Tech experience.
• Demonstrate evidence of developing and implementing teaching strategies focused on engaging students.
• Interact with students and colleagues professionally, complying with college policies.
• Maintain a safe, quality educational environment.
