Qualifications

  • At least 18 graduate credit hours in their field (a master’s degree is preferred).
  • Teaching experience at the high school or college undergraduate level.
  • Computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS).
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Active listening skills.
  • Ability to adapt and maintain a positive orientation to change and to learn new methodologies, technologies, and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Teach on-campus courses in Comparative Religions.
  • Facilitate face-to-face classrooms and online experiences if available.
  • Create syllabi and align course objectives with department goals.
  • Update syllabi for each offering and communicate with students.
