Position Description

The Department of Religion and Philosophy seeks instructors to teach undergraduate courses in religious studies on a rolling, per course basis. Possible courses include our first‑year course, The Nature and Experience of Religion, and upper‑level courses in the Catholic intellectual tradition, non‑Christian traditions, and the relationship between religion and culture. For consideration, candidates must have completed a Master's degree in Religious Studies or Theology. Excellence in and commitment to teaching is the key factor for consideration. This is an in‑person, on‑campus, non‑remote position.

Job Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the University's mission and values, submit grades on time and otherwise comply with related requests from the chair
Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Religious Studies, Theology, or a related field required; doctorate preferred
  • Preference will be given to candidates with proven teaching excellence
Salary Range Based On Experience
  • Instructor $1477.28 per credit
  • Assistant Professor $1526.25 per credit
  • Associate Professor $1575.65 per credit
  • Professor $1625.04 per credit
