Job summary

East Lansing Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Physical Education Teacher at MacDonald Middle School for the 2026-27 school year. The 1.0 FTE position reports to the Building Principal and begins at the start of the school year on August 20, 2026.

The successful candidate will hold Michigan certification in physical education (MX-12) or health/PE endorsements, and will demonstrate a commitment to professional growth while collaborating with families and the community to support student

Qualifications

Valid Michigan Certification as a physical education teacher with MX-K12 or health/PE endorsements.
Experience with diverse student populations and inclusive practices.
Ability to learn and use school computer systems for instruction and management.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
