The candidate must hold a valid Michigan Secondary Teaching Certificate with KH endorsement, demonstrate strong classroom management, and use diverse instructional strategies to engage learners. This is a full-time exempt position with immediate start.

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate (Secondary) with KH endorsement.
• Proven passion for teaching and mastery of subject matter.
• Meets all state and federal requirements for highly qualified status in the subject area.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, teach and assess a comprehensive Health/Family and Consumer Science program at the middle school level.
• Develop daily lesson plans with demonstrations, instruction, student application and practice.
• Create pre/post-instruction assessments to evaluate progress.
• Manage materials/resources to motivate learning and maintain classroom standards.
• Establish a respectful, safe, organized learning environment with clear behavioral directions.
• Differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs.
