Job summary

Edkey Inc. is seeking a Substitute Teacher to foster curiosity and confidence in elementary students. You will design engaging lessons, build relationships, and create a supportive classroom where every student can thrive.

You will deliver standards-based instruction, assess progress, and communicate with parents while collaborating with colleagues to enhance curriculum and school culture. A valid IVP fingerprint clearance card is required by hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field is required or preferred.
• Experience teaching elementary grades is expected.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills are required.
• Excellent communication and technology skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging, standards-based lesson plans
• Create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
• Assess student progress and tailor instruction to meet diverse needs
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and school culture
• Participate in school events and activities
• Complete additional duties in collaboration with the team to deliver an exceptional student experience
• Maintains accurate records as required by policy and regulation
• Take necessary precautions to protect students and property
