Job summary

Qualifications

• Arizona Department of Education teaching certification required.

Responsibilities

• Teaches district approved curriculum and Arizona State standards.
• Instructs students in citizenship and basic subject matter specified by state law and district procedures.
• Develops lesson plans and provides individualized instruction to meet pupil needs.
• Communicates regularly with parents via newsletters, notes, calls or conferences.
• Maintains classroom behavior standards for an effective learning environment.
• Evaluates student progress and maintains proper records and progress reports.
• Is available to students and parents outside instructional hours.
• Coordinates work of aides, parents and volunteers in classroom and on field trips.
