Job summary

The role requires Arizona teaching certification, strong communication with families, and the ability to integrate technology. The position is exempt and reports to the Principal.

Qualifications

• Obtain and maintain an appropriate Arizona Department of Education Teaching Certification for the position hired.
• Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (AZ IVP FPCC) Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Strong knowledge of Arizona State standards and district curriculum.
• Ability to use assessments to guide instruction.

Responsibilities

• Teaches district approved curriculum and Arizona State standards.
• Instructs students in citizenship and basic subjects per state laws and district procedures.
• Develops lesson plans and adapts curriculum for individual learners.
• Communicates with parents via newsletters, notes, calls, or conferences.
• Maintains classroom behavior standards for an effective learning environment.
• Evaluates student growth and maintains progress records.
• Coordinates volunteers and field trips.
• Incorporates technology into lessons.
• Maintains ethical behavior and confidentiality.
