Job summary

KERMIT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL in Kermit, TX is seeking an Elementary School Teacher for grades 1-5 to provide engaging learning experiences in core subjects and support students’ intellectual and social growth.

The teacher will develop lessons aligned to district curriculum, manage classroom behavior, assess progress, collaborate with special education staff, and participate in professional development and campus activities. This is a full-time, on-site role at Kermit ISD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or related training.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
• AED and CPR certificates for P.E. teachers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to district curriculum with accommodations for diverse learners.
• Plan instructional strategies and use appropriate materials and technology as per TEA guidelines.
• Assess student learning styles and use results to plan instruction.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Work with staff to determine instructional goals and methods.
• Plan and assign work to instructional aides and volunteers.
