Collaborating with families, administrators, and specialists, you will tailor strategies to diverse learners, maintain accurate records, and sponsor student activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a valid Tennessee certificate.
• Must be highly qualified per Tennessee Rules and Regulations.
• Ability to design and implement instruction aligned to standards.

Responsibilities

• Creates an educational environment conducive to learning and prepares instructional materials with written evidence.
• Maintains classroom behavior and manages student conduct in and out of school.
• Assesses student progress and provides written and oral reports to parents, staff and administrators; administers tests.
• Plans curriculum and prepares lessons to meet individual needs within state requirements.
• Confers with parents, administrators, specialists, and staff to develop educational programs.
• Creates learning materials geared to students' abilities and interests.
• Instructs students using strategies to improve development across multiple domains.
• Motivates students with reinforcement and provides ongoing feedback.
• Maintains accurate records as required by law and district regulations.
• Assists administration in implementing policies and supervises student activities as needed.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
