Chess Wizards, Inc. is seeking enthusiastic, reliable instructors to join our after‑school enrichment program in Washington, DC. Lead engaging chess classes for elementary students, following a structured curriculum and promoting sportsmanship in a safe classroom setting.

The role offers flexible hours (1–5 classes per week), travel between local schools, and mileage reimbursement. Training and ongoing support are provided, with an emphasis on building confidence and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience working with groups of children in educational or recreational settings.
• Ability to lead a class independently and create interactive, kid-friendly sessions.
• A professional, positive demeanor and strong safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead fun, interactive chess classes for 10–15 elementary students.
• Teach chess fundamentals using our curriculum and promote good sportsmanship.
• Manage a lively classroom with confidence and positivity.
• Encourage problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking.
• Travel to various local school sites for each session.
