Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality’s The Elms Hotel & Spa in Excelsior Springs, MO is seeking a motivated bartender. Deliver memorable hospitality with genuine, personable connections from greeting to departure, while crafting beverages accurately and efficiently.

We value engaging personalities, 2–4 years of bartending experience, and knowledge of wine, beer, and cocktails. Certification, fast-paced performance, and excellent communication are required for success.

Qualifications

• Current bartenders’ certification or license is required.
• Experience in bar service and beverage knowledge is essential.
• Strong customer-facing and upselling skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests as they arrive or move about the bar area.
• Maintain proper and adequate setup of the bar daily.
• Guide guests on beverage journey with descriptive menu selling.
• Accurate order taking and confirming special requests.
• Master the bar details to enhance conversation and service.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen/bar staff.
• Assist guests to resolve concerns to ensure satisfaction.
• Finalize experience with timely bill presentation.
• Stock and restock beer, wine, spirits, and bar garnishes daily.
• Mix, garnish, and present drinks following recipes with portion control.
• Enter orders into POS and generate checks for guests.
• Lock up and store beverages and equipment; manage cash drops.
