Job summary

Leman Academy of Excellence Inc. invites applications for Afterbell/Afterschool Staff at the Oro Valley Campus. This part-time position supports the daily operations of the After Bell program, ensuring safety, compliance, and engaging activities for scholars after school.

Responsibilities include supervising indoor/outdoor areas, assisting with homework, and maintaining clean, organized spaces. The role requires a high school diploma, childcare experience, and required certifications; training

Qualifications

• Completion of application is required.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED and 12 months related experience or training.
• AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card and background checks.
• First Aid/ CPR certification.
• Food Handler’s Card.
• Attend eighteen hours of annual training.
• Childcare experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of childcare regulations and safety practices.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all Afterbell operations comply with State Licensing childcare regulations.
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment for scholars and staff.
• Prep cafeteria/recess areas and maintain stock of materials.
• Supervise indoor and outdoor areas to ensure safety.
• Follow sanitation regulations and maintain work areas.
• Maintain familiarity with Leman Academy behavior norms and expectations.
• Prepare Afterbell areas, schedules, and activities following norms.
• Assist scholars with homework, recess, and activities.
• Support positive behavior and homework goals in Afterbell.
• Identify disciplinary issues and escalate as needed to administration.
• Develop and maintain relationships with families and community organizations.
• Ensure confidentiality and FERPA compliance.
• Participate in staff training and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
