Job summary

East Bay Community Action Program in Middletown seeks a part-time School Age Teacher Assistant to support student supervision and program operations at Gaudet Elementary and other sites. You will work with site coordinators, lead teachers, and staff to create a safe, engaging environment that promotes positive youth development.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, and preferably an associate degree or TA certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree and/or TA certification preferred.
• Experience with school-age children in educational/after-school settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Student supervision and support to ensure safety and positive engagement during program sessions.
• Assist with daily program operations, materials, and space organization to meet goals.
• Engage with families and communities, representing the program professionally and inclusively.
• Pursue at least 20 hours of professional development annually and support program quality activities.
