WeCare Centers at Sycamore Care Center in Montoursville, PA is actively seeking an enthusiastic Activity Aide to coordinate resident-centered recreation programs. The role involves planning, preparing, and leading engaging activities to promote well-being and social interaction among residents.

The ideal candidate may have a creative background, a high school diploma or equivalent, and prior experience in long-term care or with the elderly.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent.
• Creative background.
• Previous long-term care or experience working with the elderly or differently abled is preferred.
• Communicates professionally with all residents, family members, staff, and visitors.
• Ability to follow step by step procedures and programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, preparing, and executing of activities.
• Participate and lead group activities.
• Participate and lead 1:1 activity.
• Assure a safe and home like environment for our residents.
• Attends and participates in continuing education programs.
• Assist in the set – up and clean-up of activity space.
