Encore at Parkside in Newark, DE is seeking a PRN Activity Assistant to support planning and delivering a varied activity program that meets residents' physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

You will help coordinate calendars, lead activities, coordinate volunteers, and assist with mobility and participation in recreational events while keeping accurate records and collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• One year experience in a social or recreational program in a licensed health care setting preferred.
• Background in music, art, drama, and dance therapy preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist with planning and coordinating activities: reality orientation, current events, discussion groups, sensory stimulation, cultural activities, religious services, special entertainment, outside trips, special events, and one-to-one visits.
• Assist with preparing and distributing the monthly calendar and newsletter.
• Assist with purchasing supplies for activities as needed.
• Distribute mail daily to residents.
• Move residents to and from recreational areas.
• Announce scheduled activities and coordinate volunteers; provide training and supervision as needed.
• Maintain documentation of resident activity attendance.
• Coordinate activities in the absence of the Activity Coordinator.
