Job summary

Deptford Center in Deptford, NJ is seeking energetic and passionate Recreation Aides for our Skilled Nursing Facility. You will implement activities programs, work directly with residents, and help set up spaces for daily activities.

Qualifications

• Experience with activities in healthcare settings or recreation therapy in college.
• Experience with geriatric population preferred.
• Positive attitude and energy are a must.

• Strong organizational and planning skills; ability to multi-task.
• Some weekends required.
• Dementia experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement activities programs for Residents; focus on individual interests
• Work directly with Residents on units; without direct supervision
• Organize and obtain supplies and equipment as requested
• Assist recreation specialists and set up program areas as needed
• Keep daily attendance and document residents’ participation in activities
• Assist residents to program location and return residents to appropriate units
• Be familiar with established emergency procedures
