Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in history or related field is required.
• Master's degree or advanced studies preferred.
• 2–5 years teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to work with adolescents.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design thoughtful lessons and activities for four sections of History.
• Set high expectations for student learning and character development.
• Help students demonstrate their thinking clearly and systematically.
• Be available to students outside of class for help.
• Design formal and informal assessments to measure progress.
• Give timely feedback and grades on written work and tests.
• Collaborate with parents and teachers to support learning goals.
• Communicate with families about progress at least once a semester.
• Serve as an adviser to 9–10 students per year and engage in advising.
