Job summary

Hortonville Area School District is seeking a long-term substitute teacher for 7th Grade Math, from approximately September 11, 2026 to December 7, 2026. The substitute will report to the Building Principal or Designated Administrator and support a positive learning environment.

Candidates must hold a current Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction teaching license for the assigned subject, demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, and collaborate with students, parents,

Qualifications

• Possess a current teaching license issued by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction for their teaching assignment (and maintain that license).
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and the community.

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement educator effectiveness standards and indicators.
• Adhere to Board policies and State statutes.
• Use formative and summative assessment to inform instruction and monitor student progress.
• Collaborate with families, building and district staff focused on student learning.
• Engage with professional learning communities throughout the building/district.
• Incorporate 21st century skills and technology.
• Other duties as assigned by an administrator.
