Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
• AED/CPR certification for PE teachers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans reflecting district curriculum and accommodations for student differences.
• Plan and use instruction and learning strategies, materials, and technology aligned with TEA guidelines.
• Conduct assessment of student learning styles and use results to plan activities.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Plan and assign work to instructional aides and volunteers and oversee completion.
• Establish professional relationships and open communication with parents and staff.
