Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
• Valid Texas teaching certification in EC-6 or 4-8 Generalist.
• Strong knowledge of ELAR and Social Studies curriculum and instructional practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
• Proficiency in using technology for instruction and assessment.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse classroom.
• Previous teaching experience at the elementary level preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards for ELAR and Social Studies.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love of learning.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and share best practices.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting respect and responsibility among students.
• Support school-wide initiatives and participate in extracurricular activities as needed.
