Job summary

Paylocity is hiring a Life Enrichment Assistant on a part-time basis at Sunnyside Campus in Harrisonburg, VA. This role focuses on planning and leading activities to enhance residents' quality of life and promotes meaningful social connections.

The position emphasizes compassionate, patient interaction, and the ability to work with diverse cognitive and physical abilities. CPR/First Aid or training is preferred, with schedule variability and weekend requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with older adults preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and leading recreational activities for residents.
• Provide one-on-one engagement tailored to residents’ interests and goals.
• Encourage participation and provide transportation to activities as needed.
• Welcome new residents and help them become familiar with programs and services.
• Document resident attendance, participation, and interactions accurately.
• Prepare activity spaces, equipment, and supplies for programs and events.
• Maintain a clean, organized activities area.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, volunteers, and team members.
• Observe and report changes in resident behavior, health, or well-being to the Life Enrichment Coordinator.
• Support special events, outings, evening programs, and weekend activities.
• Operate community vehicles for resident outings with training and approval.
