Job summary

Columbia Sportswear Company is seeking an Engagement Specialist for our Distribution Center. You will lead engagement, onboarding, recognition, and wellness initiatives that support safety, quality, and productivity goals in a fast-paced environment.

This role centers on building relationships with associates and leaders, communicating clearly, and coordinating programs across teams to improve the associate experience and the organization's culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive employee matters with professionalism and discretion.
  • Intermediate computer skills and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Distribution Center team plays a critical role in delivering the Columbia Sportswear experience by ensuring products move efficiently, safely, and accurately through our operations.

As an Engagement Specialist, you'll help shape the associate experience by leading engagement, recognition, onboarding, and wellness initiatives that support safety, quality, and productivity goals. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, driving positive workplace culture, and partnering across teams to create meaningful programs that make a difference for employees and the business.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
  • Lead employee engagement and recognition programs that strengthen workplace culture and drive positive associate experiences.
  • Partner with staffing providers, leaders, and cross-functional teams to deliver and enhance new hire onboarding programs.
  • Facilitate employee feedback processes, helping ensure insights are communicated, tracked, and acted upon.
  • Coordinate employee appreciation, wellness, volunteer, and team-building events that support engagement goals.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts through training, communications, change management initiatives, and workplace engagement activities.

YOU HAVE

  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive employee matters with professionalism, discretion, and respect.
  • Intermediate computer skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.
