Job summary

CareRite Centers, LLC in Fort Lauderdale, FL seeks an Activity Aide to enhance the well-being of residents through therapeutic activities. A CNA license is required, and you will work 12-hour shifts across 3 days weekly, with dementia-resident experience preferred.

You will plan and lead group and individual activities, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, support events, and help create a stimulating, caring environment.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA license and be in good standing.
• Experience with dementia residents preferred.
• Ability to plan and coordinate recreational activities.
• Excellent communication and empathy.
• Able to work 12-hour shifts and 3 days per week.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating residents' recreational needs at admission.
• Develop and implement activity programs.
• Promote a physically and sensory stimulating environment.
• Prepare and participate in individual/group activities daily.
• Assist with decorating facility and coordinating events.
• Maintain participation records for 1:1 visits.
• Perform other assigned tasks.
