Job summary

Wilton Manors Health and Rehabilitation is seeking an motivated Activities Aide (Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant) to join our team. You will help plan, implement, and evaluate recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs in accordance with each resident’s care plan under supervisor direction.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, timely attendance, and collaboration with other departments to coordinate activities and arrange transportation for outings

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited Certified Nursing Aide Assistant program.
• Must possess and maintain a current state CNA certification.
• Must maintain a satisfactory level of attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and developing recreation programs of this Facility.
• Assist in developing and maintaining an ongoing quality assurance program for the recreation department.
• Oversee the residents engaged in scheduled activities to promote the physical, social, and mental wellbeing of residents.
• Involve the residents and family in planning recreation programs, when possible.
• Coordinate activities with other departments, as necessary.
• Arrange transportation for field trips when necessary.

As an Activities Aide you will assist in planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs, in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your Supervisor.

• Assist in developing and maintaining an ongoing quality assurance program for the recreation department.
• Oversee the residents engaged in scheduled activities to promote the physical, social, and mental wellbeing of residents by applying experience in activities and knowledge of diagnoses and conditions of residents.
• Involve the residents and family in planning recreation programs, when possible.

Job Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Certified Nursing Aide Assistant program
