Nottingham City Council is seeking an Engagement Officer to support Midlands Net Zero Hub communications and marketing projects. You will report to the Communications and Engagement Manager and contribute to plans and campaigns with fresh ideas.
The successful candidate will join a hybrid work environment, stay current with industry developments, and help ensure ROI through monitoring and evaluation.
The Midlands Net Zero Hub is funded by The Department of Energy Security and Net Zero, and is hosted by Nottingham City Council. The Engagement Officer role will be responsible for/proactively supporting the delivery of a number of communication and marketing projects, campaigns or on-going service marketing initiatives to support Midlands Net Zero Hub objectives. The successful candidate will report directly to the Communications and Engagement Manager.
Support the Communications & Marketing in the development and delivery of communications and marketing plan/s and campaigns, offering creative and innovative ideas
Form a key part of the Midlands Net Zero Hub team with responsibility for building relationships across the Midlands
Keep up to date with key issues and developments and competitor analysis in all related communications and marketing activity, channels and e-marketing, particularly in relation to user generated content, new and emerging technologies to ensure the currency to ensure the council is at the cutting-edge of sector best practice, through benchmarking, monitoring and evaluation of effectiveness e.g. ROI.
Knowledge/experience of a creative internal and external focused approach to communications and marketing of services and products with a good grasp of related processes and technique. This post is covered by the statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) (English Language Requirement for public sector workers) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English, is an essential requirement for the role.
