Gong is seeking an Engagement Manager on their Professional Services team in New York City. You will manage successful engagements for Gong customers, ensuring they are satisfied and well-supported throughout the engagement lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have extensive project management experience, preferably in enterprise software, and strong consulting capabilities. This full-time position offers a salary range of $149,000 - $175,000, along with numerous benefits including medical coverage, flexible vacation, and a 401(k) program.

Role

As an Engagement Manager on our Professional Services team, you will be responsible for all aspects of successful engagements for Gong prospects & customers across our most strategic accounts. You will work independently while keeping commitments to time, cost, and scope and juggle multiple concurrent activities. Based predominantly on custom Statements of Work ("SOWs"), you will manage the entire engagement lifecycle for our customers, including project kickoffs, workshops, testing, go-lives, risk management, and overall project management to ensure customers are raving fans of Gong.

Location: New York City, Chicago, Austin, or Lehi hub locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of implementations for Enterprise Gong customers.
• Manage multiple projects to schedule, meet milestones, forecast work according to project plans, and ensure deadlines are met.
• Manage competing priorities across multiple customers and SOW-based projects.
• Conduct and coordinate meetings onsite and remotely according to Gong Professional Services methodology standards.
• Execute discovery workshops to map customer use cases to the Gong platform.
• Provide regular communications (verbal and written) to leadership, project teams, and customers.
• Identify and mitigate engagement risks; handle and control project scope.
• Challenge, recommend, and redirect teams as well as client expectations for successful program delivery.
• Gather requirements and issue change orders as appropriate.
• Partner with Sales & Customer Success to ensure a seamless transition from presales to post-sales.
• Facilitate identification, internal communication, and remediation for product issues.
• Ideate and develop new program deliverables to improve existing team processes.
• Present with sales on positioning Professional Services packages when opportunistic.
• Contribute and provide feedback to the Gong implementation methodology.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Project Management experience (time, cost, scope, risk management); PMP certification is a plus.
• 4+ years of professional consulting experience, preferably in Enterprise software.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize and plan effectively.
• Proven ability to influence change within customer organizations.
• Excellent instincts and ability to interface at a senior level with ease.
• Understanding and experience in sales strategy.
• Experience with SaaS applications that support Enterprise business processes.
• Strong CRM experience or knowledge (Salesforce.com or Dynamics preferred).
• Ability to coordinate across functional and technical teams—internally and with partners, both in-person and virtually.
• Understanding of business and organizational complexity at large strategic firms.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including: Sales, Customer Success, Product, Enablement, and Engineering.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree; willingness to travel.

Salary & Equal Opportunity

The annual salary hiring range for this position is $149,000 - $175,000 USD. Compensation is based on factors unique to each candidate, including job-related skills, qualifications, education, experience, and location. Gong uses a location-based compensation structure and total compensation may include incentive compensation, bonus, equity, and benefits. Some sales compensation programs offer the potential to achieve above-target earnings for those who exceed targets.
