Job summary

FMI Corporation’s Strategy Practice in Houston is seeking an Engagement Manager to lead strategic planning, market analysis, and go-to-market initiatives for diverse client engagements.

This full-time role requires travel and a strong consulting background, with 3+ years in professional services, excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills; engineering/building construction degree preferred, MBA a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or building construction is a plus; MBA or an equivalent master's degree from an accredited top-tier college or university is preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of professional services experience and strong consultative skills.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills, including the ability to gain and retain the attention and involvement of sophisticated, challenging audiences.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to exercise sound independent judgment.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated maturity, integrity and the ability to work in an ambiguous entrepreneurial environment, both individually and as a team player

Responsibilities

  • Consulting and interacting with people at all levels across a client organization, including senior-level executives
  • Working on engagements with multiple clients simultaneously
  • Actively participating in all phases of the project lifecycle and working closely with a variety of internal and external business partners to ensure that all business requirements are met
  • Performing in-depth assessments to investigate, uncover and understand business issues and processes, and delivering written and/or oral presentations of findings
  • Performing primary and secondary market research, including data gathering and analysis, and industry stakeholder interviews
  • Synthesizing research findings into visually compelling reports
  • Ensuring superior customer service through follow-up, client responsiveness and customer-focused communication
  • Preparing articles for industry publications and supporting thought leadership activities

FMI’s Strategy Practice is seeking a high-energy, self-motivated Engagement Manager to join its growing team. FMI’s Strategy Practice focuses on strategic planning, business development, and go-to-market strategy development. We provide industry-best market research that delivers relevant market intelligence to help our clients find growth opportunities, gain insights, and understand the trends that are shaping and influencing our industry.

This is a full-time opportunity that requires a significant travel commitment and will be based out of our Houston, Texas office.
