Introduction

We are seeking individuals with business and technology consulting experience, combined with project management skills, to implement SaaS solutions for our customers. Engagement Managers own and lead customer engagements, acting as an integrator between business needs and technology solutions. Your efforts will directly impact the value realized by the customer and the success of the relationship. This role involves close collaboration with customers and the IBM Apptio Field Delivery team to manage deployment and rollout of solutions. Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Own and lead multiple customer engagements implementing the Apptio SaaS solution following established methodology and project management best practices.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers to establish trust and position Apptio as a trusted advisor for IT executives.
  • Provide FinOps and TBM leadership to clients.
  • Understand business problems to deploy solutions effectively and exceed expectations.
  • Gather and translate functional and business requirements into a functional design aligned with customer needs, ensuring successful deployment and adoption.
  • Manage project team activities, oversee deliverables, and ensure milestones are met within scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Coordinate with product management to incorporate client feedback into future product releases.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve issues promptly.

This role can be performed from anywhere in the US.

Preferred Education

Bachelor's Degree

Required Technical and Professional Skills

  • 5+ years of system implementation or consulting experience, with at least five years in a senior consultant or project management role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, MIS, Finance, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven project management skills, capable of executing projects within scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Knowledge of IT services, FinOps, financial management, including budgeting, cost allocation, and infrastructure support.
  • Operational understanding of IT infrastructure domains such as Cloud, data centers, networks, servers, storage, and application development.
