Standish Management, LLC in Dallas, TX is seeking an Engagement Manager to lead client engagements and supervise fund accounting activities. The role collaborates with the Engagement Director to oversee Fund Controller and Associate on accounting, capital maintenance and financial statement prep.

You will maintain client contact, manage expectations, mentor junior staff, and assist with business development while ensuring efficient engagement delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics required.
• 2+ years public accounting experience or equivalent.
• 2+ years VC/PE fund experience or fund administrator, OR 1 year as manager at a public accounting firm.
• Private Equity/VC experience and knowledge of Partnership Accounting preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word & Outlook.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain frequent client contact to keep abreast of ongoing fund activities.
• Manage client expectations.
• Manage engagement keeping in mind client needs, staff utilization and overall engagement efficiency.
• Supervise the audit and tax preparation process.
• Review all communications to the client and its investors on an ongoing basis.
• Assist with sourcing new clients, issuing proposals and overall business development.
• Mentor and train junior staff members.
