Job summary

Standish Management, based in Boston, seeks an Engagement Manager to lead client engagements and supervise fund accounting, capital account maintenance and financial statement prep. In collaboration with the Engagement Director, you will guide the Fund Controller and Associate, ensuring high-quality deliverables and seamless client service.

Essential duties include maintaining client contact, managing expectations, overseeing audit and tax processes, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance,Accounting or Economics required.
• 2+ years of public accounting experience or equivalent.
• 2+ years of VC/PE fund experience or fund administrator – OR – minimum 1 year as manager at a public accounting firm.
• Private Equity/VC experience and knowledge of Partnership Accounting preferred.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain frequent client contact to keep abreast of ongoing fund activities.
• Manage client expectations and engagement efficiency.
• Supervise the audit and tax preparation process.
• Review communications to clients and investors on an ongoing basis.
• Assist with sourcing new clients, proposals and business development.
• Mentor and train junior staff members.
