Claremont Hillel seeks an Engagement Coordinator who builds strong connections with students across the Claremont Colleges and creates meaningful Jewish experiences. The role blends outreach, mentorship, and creative programming with event coordination to help students discover Jewish life and community on campus.

Qualifications

• Strong relationship-building and mentorship skills are essential.
• Experience planning and executing campus programs, events, and Shabbat/holiday programming.
• Comfort with coordinating logistics, budgets, and volunteer/staff leadership.

Responsibilities

• Build authentic one-on-one and small-group relationships with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Serve as a mentor, listener, and trusted Jewish role model.
• Seek out and engage students who aren’t connected to Hillel yet.
• Mentor student leaders and help turn ideas into campus experiences.
• Create welcoming, pluralistic community spaces for Jewish identity exploration.
• Plan Shabbat experiences, holiday celebrations, social programs, retreats, and micro-programming.
