Medford Public Schools is seeking a Family Engagement Specialist for K-5 families at one of four on-site sites. You will design and manage family touchpoints, ensure safety and smooth arrival/dismissal, and communicate clearly to caregivers to build trust and engagement.

As a full-time, 186-day position, you will report to the Before/After School Site Director, own family engagement and site logistics, and contribute to a growing out-of-school time program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Human Services, Communications, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering family-facing communication, intake, or administrative support in school or after-school settings.
• Strong ability to manage multiple families and safety records with precision.
• Empathy and confidentiality in navigating sensitive family situations.

Responsabilités

• Welcome every family with intentional outreach at the site entrance.
• Oversee attendance, dismissal, and safe, organized student movement daily.
• Collect classroom updates and craft engaging parent communications and newsletters.
• Partner with school-day staff to coordinate individualized family supports.
• Keep front desk operations organized and support overall program operations.
