Job summary

Northrise Wellness & Rehabilitation in Las Cruces, NM seeks an Activities Director to lead our recreational therapy program for residents. You will plan, organize, and implement engaging activities that support physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, build community partnerships, maintain records, and help create a warm, inclusive living environment for our residents. A strong leader with good communication and teamwork skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in recreational therapy or related field.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement a wide range of recreational activities, including arts and crafts, music therapy, exercise programs, and social events
• Develop and maintain relationships with local community organizations to access resources and services for our residents
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of activities and events
• Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of activities and programs to meet the changing needs of our residents
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans that incorporate recreational therapy
• Maintain accurate records and reports of activities and events
