Jonas Ridge Assisted Living in North Carolina seeks a caring Activities Coordinator to engage residents with social, recreational, intellectual, and volunteer activities. Responsibilities include planning 14 hours weekly, preparing monthly calendars, coordinating transportation, and maintaining resident preferences.

The role requires completion of a state approved Activities Coordinator Program within nine months, a valid NC driver's license, and preferred PCA/CNA or related certifications;

Qualifications

• Completion of a state approved Activities Coordinator Program within nine months of employment.
• Must have a valid NC Driver's License.
• PCA or CNA certification preferred.
• NC Adult Care Medication Aide Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain required certification or oversight by a certified individual.
• Engage with residents, families, staff and community resources.
• Maintain residents' interests and individualized preferences and abilities.
• Plan 14 hours of activities weekly.
• Prepare a monthly calendar for planned activities.
• Provide diverse activities (social, recreational, intellectual, volunteer).
• Assist residents with transportation related to activities.
• Plan at least one outing every month.
• Prepare budget and track expenses for activities.
